Fire bureau distributes fire safety tips
WITH the celebration of the Fire Prevention Month this March, the Bureau of Fire Protection is distributing printed fire safety tips to the public.
"So that they would know how to prevent fire," Bureau of Fire Protection City Fire Marshall Wilberto Kuwantiu said.
Kuwantiu said they will be going to all shopping malls and schools in the city and distribute the copies of the fire safety tips.
"We will also talk to teachers and remind them of the fire safety tips," he added.
Kuwantiu said they would also conduct fire safety inspections on these establishments, checking fire exits of malls, particularly their movie houses.
"We will check if it (fire exit) is open because it is usually closed," he said.
From January to February, there are already 17 fire incidents in the city. (BRQ)
