Indian delegation to visit Davao Norte
AFTER holding dinner for the Asean Tourism Forum (ATF) participants, Davao del Norte would be receiving a delegation of visitors from the business and tourism sectors of India.
Department of Trade and Industry Provincial Director Nenita Nazareno said India lately had signified to send the delegation "hopefully this year."
She said the delegation was interested to look into the banana industry of Davao del Norte.
The Provincial Government of Davao del Norte sponsored dinner for ATF delegates on January 15 this year, attended by tourism ministers of Asean countries.
It shelled P1 million for the event expecting that in return, investments would pour in and tourist traffic would turn its way to the province.
The ATF gathered together key players in the tourism industry in the Asean region.
The forum also featured Travel Exchange, which put on sale leading tourism destinations of the member countries. (Press release)
