Local school board lacks 15 teachers
THE City Government needs 15 new teachers to fill-up vacant positions, said City Human Resource Marcelino P. Escalada.
The City hall in view of this vacancy, is conducting interviews from February 5 until April 5 for the 320 to 350 applicants.
"More than anything else, we feel that there is one urgent position to be filled up before school year in June and this are the 15 vacancies for local school board teachers," Escalada said.
Applicants qualified for the position should be a graduate of Bachelors Degree in Education and passer of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
He said teachers hired by the City Government will get a monthly salary of P9,939 as salary grade 10, P2,500 additional compensation, hazard pay, and allowances.
Escalada said the teachers would be deployed to schools in the secondary level of Paquibato District as plantilla employees.
Last year, he said, there were also 50 vacancies of the teacher position with the same number of applicants this year. (BRQ)
