Medvil blanks Solido United

PETER Ian Mortillero came up with a hat trick as the Medvil Football Club carved out a 6-0 thrashing of Solido United Sunday in the 1st PGMA-PSC-Rep. Prospero Nograles Cup at the Tiongko field.

In other matches, WTFM crushed Hooligans, 5-1, while the Davao U-19\Columbia held Ebocci to a 3-3 draw.

Mortillero scored in the third, 22nd and 38th minutes to lead Medvil to its third win in four outings.

Scoring a goal each for Medvil were Rolando Sebas (42nd), Eric Salumbides (52nd) and Junrex Accion (87th).

The defeat put Solido United in the bottom of the standings with a 0-4 slate in this bootfest co-presented by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Philippine Sports Commission and Representative Nograles.

WTFM, bannered by players from the University of Mindanao, is on top of the field with a 4-0 card.

Gerald Maldo and Jerome Junsay scored two goals each for WTFM while Richard Encarnacion added one.

The Hooligans FC, which was in second last weekend, dropped to third place with two wins and one loss.

The Davao U-19/Columbia landed in fourth place with one win, one draw and two losses followed by Ebocci with one draw and two losses.

Matches will resume on Sunday.
