Mayor's Cup swimfest slated April 28 to 30
PREPARATIONS shift to high gear for the 7th Davao Mayor's Cup Age-Group Swim Meet on April 28 to 30 at the Ladislawa Country Club in Buhangin.
Philippine Amateur Swimming Association (Pasa) regional director Sylvaine "Deedee" Gonzalez said Tuesday.
She said the tournament would also serve as the third leg of the Regional Swimming Association (RSA) competition series.
The second leg was held during the 2nd Tuna Age-Group Swim Meet in General Santos City, which was topped by the Dadiangas Torpedoes.
First leg champion Coastland Davao Swim Team (CDST), which settled for the runner-up honors in GenSan, will try to bounce back this time with its home court advantage.
The Sea Lions Swim Team of Koronadal will also be a force to reckon with as Panabo and other Davao swim clubs will try to pull surprises.
CDST will rely mainly on Coco Regidor who is competing in the boys six-year-old and under category. Must-see tankers also include cousins Jose Joaquin Gonzalez and Celina Gonzalez, Alyanna Malabanan, and Carlo Rodriguez. (MLSA)
