The five-round Swiss System format chessfest, according to National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) regional director Ronnie Tabudlong, will start at 9 a.m.

"It is the resumption of the joint grassroots program being undertaken by BKCC and DCSC in coordination with NCFP," he said.

Players from the University of Mindanao, F. Bangoy National High School, Sasa, Mintal and Panabo are expected to compete in the one-day tournament. Prizes will be up for grabs. (MLSA)
