Summer horsemanship clinic at Marina
THE 2nd summer clinic on horsemanship will start on April 24 at the Marina Park Stables, Matina Aplaya, recently bared by George Misa of the Davao Horse Club (DHC).
Misa said British veteran instructor Michelle Lawrence will be around to spearhead the six-day course that will tackle the fundamental of horsemanship.
"Children and adults are welcome to enroll in the yearly program of DHC," Misa said.
Registration fee is P3,500 inclusive of horse rental and equipment.
The clinic will follow after the 9th Davao Horse Show & Competition on April 22 and 23 at the SM City Davao Grounds.
Some 80 entries from the Visayas and Mindanao will compete for attractive prizes at stake in the two-day tournament. It will showcase Olympic events like equestrian and show jumping.
Davao City horsemen will have to put up against Tagaytay Highlands, Cagayan de Oro, Malaybalay and Cebu, among others.
There will be observers from Subic and Masbate in the meet sponsored by the Marco Polo Group, Philippine Sports Commission and City Tourism Office. (MLSA)
