Based on initial investigation, Mamadra was on his way to pay his girlfriend a visit in Poblacion, Parang, Maguindanao Pronvince.

The victim passed by the public market to buy fish when shot by a lone gunman with a .45 caliber handgun. Mamadra died on the spot and the assailant took his .9 mm handgun.

Police are eyeing personal grudge as the motive for the killing, but are not discounting the possibility that it was the handiwork of the New People's Army. (RCO/GF)
