Raps filed v. 3 selling explosives
THE City Prosecutor's Office (CPO) forwarded charges of illegal selling of explosives against three men arrested last month.
Prosecutor Leo Madraso filed the case against Gulao Bawa, Ahandi Alian Mudam and Bobby Jumani after they were arrested in an entrapment operation launched by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Southern Mindanao in Muslim Village, Ilang-Ilang, Bunawan District, this city, last April 13, 2006 at 11:40 a.m.
Court records showed the respondents has been monitored by the CIDG Southern Mindanao for illegally selling explosive ingredients and components.
They conducted a test-buy and the buyer was able to purchase half a kilo of explosive ingredients and eight pieces of commercial safety fuse with improvised non-electric blasting cups. And immediately arrested the suspects.
The laboratory examination conducted at the Crime Laboratory in Ecoland, this city, confirmed the materials are used to make explosives.
The suspects will be sued in violation of the Presidential Decree 1866 in relation to Section 3 of Republic Act 8294 otherwise known as the Unlawful sale of Explosives.
Investigators have earlier linked the three to the recent bombing inside a Weena Bus in Digos City, but this accusation has not been substantiated yet. (RMH)
