Abangan, playing for the 4Play Badminton Gym, beat her sister Jacquiline in the finals of the women's elite singles event.

Wheels N' More bets Grace Castro and Shiera Marie Suico shared third place.

The Abangan siblings combined forces to emerge champion in women's doubles at the expense of Shuttle Zone's Ginalee Daymiel and Marie Anne Fronteras.

But Diosan's team, the University of Mindanao (UM), settled for the runner-up honors in the women's collegiate team competitions.

The unheralded Jose Maria College (JMC) team of Suico, Fronteras, Hyacinth Mae Bienes and Jackie Lyn Reodique racked up a 2-1 win over UM lady shuttlers.

In men's event, UM pulled off a 2-0 victory against JMC. UM was bannered by John Rodney Pana, Daryl Abraham, Edel Hamid Montera and Samsur Montera.

Top-seed Ronald Daymiel of Shuttle Zone bagged the men's elite singles title over Sports Zone bet Virgilio Natan. Daymiel paired with Edel Hamid for the men's doubles crown then teamed up with Genalyn to clinch the mixed doubles title.

The winners received cash prizes, medals and gift items from JVC.
