Ma triumphs

RYAN Ma, son of veteran Welking Ma, emerged champion in the Endurance Summer Tenpin Bowling Tournament 2006 at the B3 Center of NCCC Mall Sunday night.

Ma, who rolled 3,009 pinfalls in the 16-game event, pocketed the P6,000 cash.

He bested Paul Rabe of the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office, Vic Te and Joseph Gabut who placed second, third and fourth, respectively.

Rabe hit 2,963 pinfalls for the P4,000 runner-up prize while Te made 2,949 to receive P3,000 and Gabut scored 2,937 for P2,000.

Ma also topped the handicapping individual event, which was sponsored by Filinvest, after hitting a total of 232 pinfalls while Rabe also ruled the scratch class or category without handicapping with 223.

The tournament was co-sponsored by the Metro Davao Tenpin Bowling Association and B3. (MLSA)
