Agency spells out Arroyo 10-point agenda
SECRETARY Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. of the Department of Public Works and Highways said his agency is creating more jobs for the disadvantage in line with the 10-point agenda of the President.
DPWH unveiled on Monday one of the President's priority program dubbed as "Road Maintenance Job Generation project" to be able to create more jobs for the poor and enable the Filipino people to have enough food on the table.
DPWH regional director Dimas Soguilon and District Engineer Isagani Javier, in their messages, stressed the full implementation of the 10-point agenda of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is focus in reshaping the political and economic structures to ensure national stability and survival.
This also gives access to social services, providing adequate food supply on the table for every Filipino family, the provision of electricity, housing, public works and infrastructure, health and education.
Soguilon said the President wants to address unemployment problem and that the gains of the nation must be felt by ordinary Filipinos.
He also spelled out the rationalization plan of the government aimed at providing more effective and efficient services to the public.
Soguilon, concurrent chair of the Technical Change Management team for regions and district offices, assured that affected employees of the government due to the rationalization plan (RatPlan) will not be dislocated nor deprived of their rights to retain their permanent jobs.
Javier, for his part, rallied co-workers in government to help the administration in healing the wounds of the Edsa revolution and join government in its march towards national unity and progress.
