Touring Asia's biggest mall
By Ana Felicia Dulay

IT WAS an experience to boot other experiences as the members of the local press trooped to SM Mall of Asia on Friday. This gigantic structure in Pasay City can fit in 40 football fields and 49 jumbo jets. And it is only 15 minutes away from the domestic and international airports.

Truly, one day is not enough to complete a tour of this 400,000 square meter structure, comprised of four buildings connected to each other by walkways.

"It is a celebration mall," Hans Sy declares during the press conference on Friday. "People will come here to celebrate something everyday."

After the press conference, the group toured the facilities.

The San Miguel Coca-cola Imax Theatre with its eight-storey building tall screen is really a state of the art!

But size is not the only prime thing here. The biggest mall in Asia is also convenient to its customers.

"There will also be huge transportation terminals, PUJs and taxi bays," Mr. Sy says. On Saturday, there was a private shopping preview for media and other guests after the Mass and ribbon-cutting. What joy in shopping!

And on Sunday, it opened its doors to its customers. Truly, SM Mall of Asia did not only meet up the expectations of its customers, it exceeded it beyond doubt.
