Call center offers 300 jobs
A TOTAL of 300 job opportunities are now open for qualified graduates as a Manila-based call center holds its special recruitment activity at the ground level of NCCC Mall of Davao Thursday.
Alorica Philippines Inc. is a contact center that provides inbound and outbound services via voice/phone, chat, and email to both local and foreign markets.
The company, which is located in Pasig City with its headquarters in California, is actively pursuing its plans to expand its operations outside Metro Manila.
It is looking at Davao City as the potential site for expansion.
During the recruitment activity, the company will initially assess the applicants who will qualify to join the organization. Once qualified, lucky applicants will then undergo a training to prepare them for their new job.
Available positions are Customer Interaction Specialists and Technical Support Representatives.
Qualifications are: preferably college graduate of computer-related course; above average communication skills; computer literate; knowledgeable in PC troubleshooting for the Technical Support Representatives; team player, patient, and self-motivated; above average IQ test results; and willing to work in flexible hours.
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) regional director for Southern Mindanao Merly M. Cruz said the holding of staff hiring by Alorica Philippines in the city is a manifestation that Davao graduates are highly competitive.
"Aside from giving our graduates with jobs, its plan of putting up a business office in the city will be a huge factor in local economic growth," she said.
Cruz added that with the company considering Davao City to be their site outside Metro Manila, the city's goal of becoming the "ICT hub of the South" becomes more vibrant.
