Magical summer with acrylic painting

THE first part of Genluna Gallery's offer for 2006 summer art classes started with a bang.

All 42 participants of all ages from four to 70 years of age enrolled in the art class of Neil Arvin Javier, a Manila based artist, installation and visual, as well as an art teacher.

His adventurism to teach art classes in the city of Davao was very fruitful indeed. This is his second time to teach in Davao. The first was in summer of 2004.

For the participants, paying P2,000 for a two-week-three-hour-art-workshop which included basic art materials, they said "was very cheap" all wanting for the afternoon class.

Not only was it worthwhile, they said they "learned a lot from their very progressive Manila art teacher, Neil Arvin Javier."

As the photos would show, they indeed were proud showing their art works for the world to see.

But magic only happens during summer and a summer well spent. Genluna Gallery is located at 12 General Luna Street in Davao City. Opens from Monday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
