Suspected drug pusher charged By Joy Romares-Sevilla
A SUSPECTED drug pusher is now facing charges before the Regional Trial Court for allegedly selling metamphetamine hydrochloride, otherwise known as shabu, in Barangay Tibungco, Davao City, Sunday.
Prosecutor I Carlos B. Castaños recommended the filing of charges of violation of Sale and delivery of dangerous drugs against Arnel Saguan alias Toto, 39, resident of Purok 1 in Barangay Tibungco.
No bail was recommended for Saguan's temporary liberty. Saguan is now detained at the Bunawan police precinct.
In his affidavit, PO3 Edgar Inid of the Bunawan police station said Saguan was arrested near his house at around 9:55 p.m. of June 4 based on a tip from an informant.
After evaluating the report, Chief Inspector Antonio Rivera formed a team and planned the operation.
Inid was introduced by the informant to Saguan as a drug user who wanted to buy shabu worth P1,000.
After receiving the money from him, Inid said, Saguan pulled out a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from his pocket.
Saguan was immediately arrested.
A Nokia 1100 cellphone and P900 marked money were recovered from Saguan's possession.
