By Joy Romares-Sevilla

A MAN is facing charges before the Regional Trial Court for allegedly stealing a caliber .45 pistol of a policeman friend in Ecoland, Davao City, Thursday last week.

The complaint was filed by PO1 Belmar Patosa, member of Philippine National Police assigned at the Regional Mobile Group in Camp Catitipan, this city.

In his affidavit, Patosa said he was in a drinking spree with friends at the Bonguyan Beach in Matina at around 10 p.m. of June and fell asleep after getting drunk.

When he awoke at around 4 a.m. the following day, he found the gun tucked in his waist already missing.

He quickly got to his feet upon hearing a gunshot just a few meters from him.

Looking around, he saw Guerra holding his gun.

Patosa called for police assistance leading to Guerra's arrest.

Meanwhile, Duaves recommended a bail of P20,000 for the temporary liberty of Guerra who is now detained at the Talomo police detention cell.
