373 cases filed in city court in 5 months
A TOTAL of 373 cases were filed before the sale of Judge Emmanuel C. Carpio of the Regional Trial Court Branch 16 from February to June, this year according to the criminal and civil cases records.
Among of the 373 cases, 164 were itemized as civil cases, while the remaining 209 are criminal cases, which are pending as of June 30, 2006.
Meanwhile, 22 persons who are facing criminal cases are currently detained.
The docket inventory is only done twice a year in all branches of the RTC. The first inventory was conducted during the first week of January and the other, on the first week of July.
Sun.Star tried to get the statistical report of the other RTC branches, but they are still not through with their inventory.
The records will be submitted at the Statistical Report Division Court Management Office of the Supreme Court. (JGRS)
