Prosecutor Gaye T. Cañete recommended a bail of P100,000 for Alcoriza's temporary liberty who is now detained at the Buhangin police detention cell.

The complaint was filed by victim Winston Salvo Jr., "habal-habal" driver, of Country Homes Subdivision in Buhangin, this city.

In his affidavit complaint, Salvo said the incident happened while he was driving his Honda Wave motorcycle on his way to Buhangin proper at around 1:30 a.m. on July 8.

Salvo claimed that upon reaching Bread Village in Buhangin, the respondent, whom he was able to identify because the latter was a also a "habal-habal" driver in the area, flagged him down and requested him to deliver him to Balon in Barangay Mandug.

Salvo said when they reached a few meters away from the Lapanday banana plantation, Alcoriza ordered him to stop his vehicle.

As he stopped his motorcycle, Salvo was surprised when Alcoriza, without provocation, shot the right portion of his neck with an undetermined caliber causing him to fall on the ground.

Salvo said he tried to stand up, but Alcoriza deliberately held his feet and dragged him towards the center of the road where Alcoriza took his cellular phone worth P1,500, and wallet containing his driver's license and cash amounting to P3,100.

Alcoriza, Salvo said, sped off onboard his motorcycle, leaving him lying on the ground. It was almost an hour when Salvo was brought to the Davao Medical Center after a truck happened to pass by the area.

The truck driver brought him to the hospital for treatment.

The following day, Alcoriza was arrested by police inside his house and brought him to the Buhangin police precinct for investigation.
