1-hour blackout hits Davao City, Davao Norte
A TOTAL power outage was experienced by all Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC) franchise areas Friday afternoon.
Affected by the one-hour and five-minute power outage, which started at 3:55 p.m. are areas of Davao City and Davao del Norte including Panabo City, Carmen, Dujali and Sto. Tomas.
According to DLPC corporate communications chief Ross Luga, power was totally resumed at 5:10 p.m.
Luga said Transco has yet to issue a statement on the reason of the blackout.
The Transco power outage caused a tripping on DLPC power line.
He said DLPC's Bajada power plant provided a 20-megawatt power supply for Davao City during the outage especially to feeders for public and private hospitals and government key service providers.
DLPC apologized for the inconvenience the power blackout had caused on Davao consumers. (GAAgtay)
