HCDC trounces SPCT

THE Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) and St. Therese annexed victories in junior division 2 of the Gaisano South Cup 2006 at the GS Sky Gym Sunday.

HCDC demolished St. Peter College of Toril (SPCT), 74-58, while St. Therese beat Davao Christian, 65-53, in the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP)-sanctioned cagefest.

In junior division 1, Jose Maria College (JMC) Kings nipped Agro High Sailors, 82-80, while Stella Maris Academy of Davao (Smad) downed Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) 2, 29-25, in the girls side.

The AdDU cadet team also pulled off a victory over Assumption College of Davao (ACD), 65-63, even as Davao Central College (DCC) overcame Smad, 68-58.

The Holy Child School of Davao (HCSD) lived up to its billing by defeating University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC), 63-54, in the mini category. Games will resume this weekend. (MLSA)
