City needs 26 police aides
THE City Government is in need of 26 new police aides to become part of the Police Auxiliary Group (PAG).
Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO) chief Marcelino P. Escalada said they needed to hire 26 cop aides after the HRMO is about to terminate 26 PAG personnel effective Monday July 31.
Escalada said the HRMO required for the first time the current 175 PAG personnel to undergo a neuro-psychiatric examination or drug test as a requirement for the renewal of their contracts at the end of this month.
He, however, said of the 175 PAG personnel, 16 failed, 7 allegedly falsified the result of their tests and three did not undergo the test.
Escalada said the 16 PAG who failed the test will not be rehired as they are not recommended to hold guns or they have psychological mental problems as stated in their test results.
"Now we are in need of cop aides for this vacant positions," Escalada said in an interview Thursday.
Escalada said interested applicants should at least be 2nd year college or have taken 72 units, at least 5'4" in height and 18 to 38 years old.
"We adopted the qualification of a Police Officer I of the PNP," he said. (BRQ)
