Aero marathon, other fitness activities at Holiday Spa
AN Aero marathon set at 5:30 p.m. Friday will usher the opening of the weeklong third year celebration of Holiday Spa Health and Sports Club.
Operations manager Ivy Fernandez, who guested at the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the Tower Inn Thursday, said Friday's event is confined to Holiday Spa members only.
"The aero marathon will be held at the Fitness Center's group exercise room," she said.
The public, however, can be involved in the Health and Fitness Fair that will open Saturday at the Holiday Spa parking grounds.
"It will be a mini tiangge or baratillo," Fernandez said.
There will be exhibits, product sampling of health and fitness-related products, free blood typing, blood sugar testing, free body fat analysis and health risk analysis, free fitness consultation, nutritional counseling and outdoor wall climbing.
A water polo competition will also be featured on Saturday.
On Sunday, she said, there will be the 5K and 10K Run for Healthy Lives 2006.
"The run will start at 5 a.m. We will be giving out cash prizes, certificates and gift packs to the winners," Fernandez said. (MLSA)
