DENR retains bowling lead

THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 11 retained its lead by hitting a total of 4,985 pinfalls after nine games in the 21st Kadayawan Open Bowling Tournament at the Fairlanes Bowling Center Friday night.

The City Government of Davao (4,918), MIP Tigers (4,910) and DBA Bowlers (4,882) placed second, third and fourth, respectively, in bracket A.

In bracket B, D' Champs Bowlers rolled 5,148 pins for the top spot followed by Ayang's Catering (5,141), Edjo Bowlers (5,110) and Vincent 1 (5,059).

The teams will play the last game of the 10-game elimination round on Tuesday. The top four teams in each bracket will enter the step-the-ladder championship round.

Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman William "Butch" Ramirez are sponsors of the bowlfest. (MLSA)
