SK Davao set to conduct reproductive awareness in schools
IN AN attempt to lessen incidents of pre-marital sex and teen pregnancies among the youth, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation-Davao City Chapter led by Councilor April Marie C. Dayap will be visiting a total of 100 private and public high schools in the city to conduct reproductive health seminar.
"We want to raise the level of awareness of young individuals on reproductive health," Dayap, who is also the SK Davao president, said.
Dayap said they aim to instill positive values to the youth especially on sensitive matters such as pre-marital sex, teen pregnancy, and responsible parenthood.
She said they have already prepared a module on the matter that was approved by the Department of Education, together with the City Health Office and the Population Commission.
Schools that will be visited include the Davao City National High School, E. Nogrles National High School, Ateneo de Davao University Matina Campus, Holy Child, Holy Cross Agdao and several others. (BRQ)
