Prosecutor Jose A. Garcia recommended theft charges to be filed against one Angelo (true name withheld for being a minor), of Mandug.

The complaint was filed by Luisito Telabangco, of legal age, a resident of the same place.

Telabangco said he was about to leave their house at around 5:30 a.m. on April 14 to attend the Via Crusis procession when he noticed Angelo outside their house acting suspiciously.

He said he just ignored the boy, locked the door, and left.

A few hours later, Telabangco said he received a text message from her wife, Estrellita, informing him that the main door of their house was already opened and that money amounting to P1,000, which was placed inside a cabinet, was already missing.

Telabangco said he later looked for Angelo. When he found him, he confronted him and recovered a set of keys.

He said he owns the set of keys, but these disappeared a few months ago.

Telabangco added that Angelo admitted stealing the P1,000 from his house.

However, only P920 was recovered by Telabangco in the boy's possession.

Angelo was later endorsed by Telabangco to Buhangin police precinct. (JGRS)
