Pacquiao to use same strategy vs Morales
By Charles Raymond A. Maxey

WHEN Manny Pacquiao stopped Erik Morales in January, the Filipino boxing sensation was in attacking mode and utilized his tremendous hand speed to topple the great Mexican warrior.

Come November 18, expect Pacquiao to follow the same fight plan.

"I will stick to the same plan for the Morales fight," Pacquiao told boxing writer Ryan Macaula of Figthnews.com in an interview.

Pacquiao just flew in to Los Angeles and started training at the Wild Card Boxing Club of famed trainer Freddie Roach yesterday in preparation for his third fight with Morales dubbed “The Grand Finale."

Pacquiao stopped Morales in the 10th round in their last meeting, using savage body shots and non-stop combinations that finished off his rival.

When Pacquiao fought Oscar Larios, he fought differently and used good lateral movement, excellent footwork and dished out fine boxing skills to score another victory.

Pacquiao said Morales and Larios are two different kinds of fighters with contrasting styles.

The Filipino boxer said he is optimistic of beating Morales again if he will follow the same game plan.

"I'm very confident in training for this fight. I start at the gym with Freddie tomorrow and I plan to use the same plan we used to beat him in the last fight," Pacquiao told Fightnews.com.

"Larios is a very different fighter compared to Morales and that fight was in front of my Filipino people to give them a good fight and make all of them happy," Pacquiao added.

In their first meeting last year, Morales beat Pacquiao on points.
