Puyat: Pinoy will rule World Pool Championship

THERE is a 70 percent chance that a Filipino cue artist will win the forthcoming 2006 World Pool Championships, said Philippine Billiards godfather Aristeo "Putch" Puyat in a press conference held Tuesday at the San Miguel Beer (SMB) head office.

"I am optimistic that we have seventy percent chances to win the World Pool Championship in Manila this November," said Puyat.

Leading the Philippine campaign in the annual event will be Efren Reyes, Francisco Bustamante, Marlon Manalo, Alex Pagulayan, Dennis Orcollo, Ronato Alcano, Rodolfo Luat, and Ramil Gallego.

Also in the press conference were hall of famer Reyes, SMC president and chief operating officer Ramon S. Ang, other SMC executives and local media including billiard commentator Ronnie Nathanielsz.
