John Paul, JMC triumph in Gaisano South Cup
JOHN Paul College posted its fourth win in the Gaisano South Cup after dumping University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) Friday, 86-76, in a College Division 2 encounter.
Jose Maria College and Rizal Memorial Colleges likewise hurdled their assignments in College Division 1. The matches were played Friday and Saturday.
Arnold Adormeo erupted for 30 points for John Paul, which is now sporting a 4-1 slate. Adormeo also had five rebounds, five assists and five steals.
Mark Caballes supported Adormeo with 14, while three others scored eight points apiece.
Elbert Fuentes led USEP with 22 points. USEP dropped to 2-3.
Sidney Simbajon and Jeeve Espejon scored 13 points each to lead JMC past AMA Computer College, 80-71. JMC now has two wins against one defeat.
Modser Sangangan fired 26 points as RMC blasted DMMA, 70-63.
In a Junior Division 1 matchup, DCC defeated JMC, 88-83.
Richard Barbieros topscored for DCC with 25, and three others scored in double figures to back him up in the offensive end.
