Octoberfest bowlfest on

THE Octoberfest Bowling Tournament rolled off last night at Fairlanes with 20 local teams and visiting squads from North Cotabato seeing action.

Emie Orteza of the Sunday Bowlers Club told the regular Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum Thursday that Ayang's Catering and Dover are two of the top favorites in the tournament.

Cash prizes and trophies are up for grabs in the event, which will be played every Tuesday and Thursday.

Meanwhile, Glenn Perez bested his rivals to cop the class A title of the Sunday Bowlers Club Bowler of the Month final, Sunday night at the Fairlanes in Davao City.

Perez beat Vic Pusod in the final, while Ed Mercado placed third.

Ping Efondo joined the list of champions by ruling class B at the expense of Oca Aplicador. Rikko Alvarez landed third.
