HCDC beats Wisdom

MAC Abude erupted for 27 points and two of his teammates also scored in double figures as the Holy Cross of Davao College whipped Davao Wisdom, 82-72, Saturday in the Gaisano South Cup "The Game of the Rising Stars."

Abude also had four rebounds, three assists, and one steal for HCDC, which improved to 2-3 win-loss slate in the Cadets category.

Alejo and Carlos Suner supported Abude with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Ronel Armada of Davao Wisdom topscored with 40 big points, but his effort went for naught as only four of his teammates scored in the game.

In another Cadets game, Davao Christian nipped Davao City National High School, 61-55.

Ismael Naga led DCC in scoring with 15. Jason Huraño paced DCNHS with 18 and Rannel Jabay added 8.

With the win, DCC improved to 5-3, while DCNHS suffered only its third defeat in nine games. (CRAM)
