DRANHS bowlers top inter-school tourney
THE Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School emerged champion in the Davao City Inter-School Bowling Tournament 2006 held at the Fairlanes Bowling Center over the weekend.
DRANHS amassed a total of 4,009 pinfalls over runner-up Ma-A National High School-1 that garnered 3,935. The champion team took P8,000 cash prize while the latter got P6,000.
The Davao City National High School (3,809) was third while University of the Immaculate Conception-2 (3,699) came fourth, F. Bangoy National High School-A (3,620) fifth and Holy Child Academy of Mintal (3,456) in sixth.
They received P4,000, P3,000, P2,000 and P1,500, respectively.
Trailing behind were UIC-1, Ma-a 2, Biao National High School, F. Bangoy NHS-B and Mintal Comprehensive National High School.
Ellen Caasi grabbed the highest individual single and double honors while Ma-a won the highest team single and double titles.
Jelly-Ann Vecino pocketed the highest pinning award while Liza Berandoy copped the highest individual average title.
The bowlfest, supported by Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman William "Butch" Ramirez, was organized by the Sunday Bowlers Club. (MLSA)
