DFA Cup 2nd round opens By Marianne L. Saberon-Abalayan
THE 2nd round of the Davao Football Association (DFA) Cup 2006 opens Sunday at the Tionko field in Agro-Industrial Foundation College (AIFC) compound.
Panadero Bakeshop/Davao United clashes against Panabo City at 1:30 p.m. while Ebocci/Real El Solido (Ebosol) takes on the Hooligans at 3:30 p.m.
The Panadero booters are all set to follow-up their 5-1 victory over Panabo in the first round with RP junior member Jason Mortillero and Jayric Iligan leading the squad.
Sherwin Baylosis, Learyf Karamay, Christian Hager and Emerson Roy Demegillo are expected to beef up the team.
The Hooligans team will also try to overcome Ebosol just like in the previous round where it inflicted a 3-0 shutout against the latter.
Former Southeast Asian (SEA) Games campaigner Peter Jaugan, Danny Boy Fernandez, Ian Pongo, Rolando Señas Jr. and Glenn Bolaquiña are once again expected to lead the Hooligans for the bid.
But Ebosol may yet pull off a surprise and avenge its first round loss with the services of Stanley Cañete, Jerome Junsay, Buboy Arrieta, Reggie Ozims, Evelito Mortillero, Cesar Cerdonio, Ruel Manike and Victor Okorie, among others. For more Philippine news, visit Sun.Star Pampanga.
