Chadric Open chess fires off Dec. 21-23

THE Chadric Open chess tournament fires off December 21-23 at the Gaisano Mall of Davao.

Sponsored by Engineer Enrico Vanta of the Chadric Builders, the three-day event is sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP).

The champion will receive P10,000, while the second placer is assured of P7,000. The third finisher will get P5,000 and fourth P3,000.

A Kiddies Open will also be held simultaneous with the tournament, according to Samuel Yu, newly-elected president of the Davao City Chess Club.

A Mayor's Open chess tournament will also be held from December 8 and 9 also at the Gaisano Mall.

The event will be staged by James Infiesto, regional director of the NCFP. (CRAM)
