THE Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Crusaders demolished Jose Maria College (JMC) Kings, 77-60, in the resumption of the Gaisano South Cup 2006 basketball tournament at the GS SkyGym Tuesday night.
Rodolfo Duran led the charge for the Crusaders with 15 points and 11 rebounds to cop the best player of the game honors. His teammates Adel Nobleza scored 19.
The Crusaders tote a six-win, one-loss record while the Kings dropped to 3-3 in college division 1 standings of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP)-sanctioned tournament.
In the mini event, Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) kept its unbeaten slate by whipping the Holy Child School of Davao (HCSD) Reds, 117-80, to improve its record to 8-0.
It was the second loss for the Reds in eight outings. Gian Barranco sank 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lift Ateneo's victory as teammate Christopher Gavia led in scoring with 16. (MLSA)
