Charged for violation of the Republic Act 8353 were Robert Suguan Jr., Isidro Macasil, Rexel Suguan, and Mactal Arajao, all residents of Purok 10 in Tibungco.
City Prosecutor Gaye Cañete found probable cause to hold them for court trial based on the accusation of the victim Antonette (not her real name), 24.
In her affidavit-complaint, Antonette said she was in their house at around midnight of April 30 as their barangay's fiesta was in full swing when she decided to stroll around the neighborhood.
She passed by the group of men who invited her for a drink. Being neighbors, she accepted the invitation and was served a glass of tuba (coconut wine). She said she saw one of the men put what looked like a tablet in her drink, but she did not mind this, until she felt weak.
She said she was rendered half-conscious, but very weak to defend herself. She was brought to the sala and undressed and the men took turns raping her, she said.
She was then brought to another house, which she did not recognized, and raped once more.
No bail was recommended for each of the respondent's temporary liberty. (RMH)
