THE City Prosecutor’s Office filed charges of illegal possession of explosive against a man caught in possession of a hand grenade in Tugbok last month.
Charged was one Victor Inso Torrentera, 30, a resident of Sitio Small Town in Tugbok, Davao City after City Prosecutor Nanette Lemana found probable cause to hold him for court trial based on the complaint made by SPO1 Prudencio Varquez Lagare of the Tugbok police.
In an affidavit, Lagare said that he was inside the outpost in Tugbok at around 4 p.m. of November 26 when he received a call about a man threatening his neighbors with a hand grenade.
He went to the area and found Torrentera with a grenade. The man even threw the grenade to the ground as he approached. The pin was still attached to it.
Lemana recommended a bailbond of P80,000 for the respondent's temporary liberty. (RMH)
