CASH prizes and medals are up for grabs in the Pahalipay ni Mayor Duterte Table Tennis Championships slated December 28 and 29 at the SM City Davao entertainment plaza.

Davao City Councilor Peter Laviña, who is also Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (Tatap) regional vice-president, bared this after he turned over jackets to members of the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) at the Tower Inn Thursday.

Laviña said the two-day meet will feature a singles category for boys and girls 14 years old and under.

The tablenet is part of the annual Pahalipay ni Mayor sa Pasko Sportsfest. It is spearheaded by the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office under city sports coordinator Christopher "Bong" Go.

Laviña also announced the holding of DepEd-Councilor Peter Laviña Table Tennis Tournament on January 13 and 14 at the SIR Elementary School Gym. (MLSA)
