Diez wins executive active chess crown

ENGINEER Allan Diez topped the Executive Active Chess held last December 3 at the Jones Beach in Talomo.

Jun Atmosfera finished second, while Engineer Enrico Vanta of the Chadric Builders took third place.
Businessman Maning Eva took fourth place.
Sammy Yu, the newly-elected president of the Davao City Chess Club, acted as arbiter during the tournament.
The champion received P500 plus trophy, while the second and third finishers got P300 and P200 with a trophy and medal, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Chadric Open and Kiddies Chess Tournament will be held from Dec. 21-23 with cash prizes at stake.
