Cops sue landlord who raped deaf girl

BUNAWAN police filed charges against a landlord for molesting an 11-year-old deaf girl at her parents' rented house in Sitio Bucana, in Lasang, last Monday.

The suspect identified as Benjamin Madayag, 69, resident of sitio Bucana in Lasang, was accused by Gelli, 11.

In the victim's sworn affidavit, Gelli said that at around 8:30 p.m. of December 4, she was inside their rented house when the suspect entered.

She said she was grabbed by the suspect and was forced to be seated on a chair where she was molested.

Madayag only stopped when a neighbor passed by.

Freed from Madayag's clutches, she ran out to ask help from the neighbor.

The suspect is now detained at the Bunawan police precinct. (RMH)
