Alora just missed the chance for a gold medal hunt when she lost to Jingyu Wu of China by points, 2-3, in their semifinal bout.

Domingo, meanwhile, lost by lopsided decision to Chonnapas Premwaev of Thailand, 0-7, in the semis.

Meanwhile, Mary An Basas of Davao was to make her Asiad debut late Friday when she plays Amy Hoe Shy Wash in the women's 8-ball Round of 32. (CRAM)
