Gun manufacturing firm showcases products here
By Joy Romares Sevilla

ARMSCOR Philippines, a gun manufacturing company that opened Tuesday a display center in Davao City, revealed that the US is the biggest single export of the company.

Gina Marie Amangco, general manager of Armscor Philippines-Davao branch, said during the Club 888 press forum at Marco Polo Davao Wednesday that Armscor products are very competitive in the US.

"All the internal parts of the gun were from abroad, Armscor only manufactures the frame, barrel and the slide, all our products are of quality because we really have good machines," Amangco said.

Amangco said the gun manufacturing company decided to put up a branch in the city "because we want to bring our products" in this part of the country.

But she also said that pistols are very in demand not only in the Philippines, but also in the US.

"We are also planning to set up a repair center here and by February next year, we will conduct a free firearm proficiency training, that would include a lecture on gun safety and handling," Amangco said.

Amangco said that with the opening of Armscor Philippines in Davao City, the company is now offering up to 20 percent discount for all ammunitions and pistols. The company is also offering a lifetime warranty, she added.

"Switzerland has the lowest crime rate all over the world because its government allows each male to carry a gun, here, the crime rate is growing up, we should use the gun responsively," she said.
