Thursday, December 14, 2006 100 riders to join bikefest
CLOSE to a hundred riders will show their wares in the Panaghiusa 2006 Mountain Bike Track Competition at the Sights and Thrills, Penaplata, Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS) on Saturday.
The bikefest will feature the open elite and veterans 40-above categories.
Race director Salvador Paholio Jr. of the Samahang Siklista Kooperatiba ng Dabaw (Ssikad) said cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winners.
Proceeds of the bikefest will benefit the Traffic Management Group-Force Multiplier (TMG-FM), which helps police visibility that still needs office equipment like computers and cameras.
The Panaghiusa, presented by Mayor Roger Antalan, will also have side events like obstacle race, motorcycle show, videoke, and bikini open competitions.
The sportsfest will be held in coordination with the I Peaceful, Orderly Davao (Ipod), a group of Chinese businessmen, TF-Limbas X1, Powercycle Inc., Beer na Beer, Absolute, Winston and Hope. (MLSA)
