Mang Inasal opens new store at Gaisano Mall

DAVAO City's potential market urged the management of Mang Inasal, a phenomenal Visayan barbecue fast food chain, to open its third branch at Gaisano Mall Friday.

Sun.Star Network Online's 12th Asean Summit Watch

"The opening of the new branch here is actually the 25th branch in the country, simultaneously, the 24th branch opens at SM City in Baguio," Joel Senina Adrias, vice-president for operations of Mang Inasal, told Sun.Star.

Adrias claimed they opened two more branches of Mang Inasal in the city to address demand of the market.

Adrias said they are hoping to reach 50 to 75 branches all over the country in 24 months.

"We have six branches in Luzon, five in Mindanao, and 13 in the Visayas," Adrias said adding that Mang Inasal has more branches in the Visayas because it originated in Iloilo.

Its owner is a young entrepreneur, aged 29, who is based in Iloilo and who runs a four-season hotel in the place.

Apart from the usual food presentations of food companies, Mang Inasal endeavors to adhere to elements that bear a distinctively Pinoy stamp.

"I am inviting the people to discover for themselves the taste of our product, the presentation, and the quality," Adrias said.

Mang Inasal grills chicken with charcoal, wraps rice in banana leaves, and uses local spices and herbs.

Mang Inasal also shares in alleviating the unemployment burden of the country.

It is effectively stimulating economic activities in communities where its branches are located.

Among benefited by the presence of Mang Inasal in their area are local suppliers of calamansi, charcopal, banana leaves, sorbeteros, vegatables, fish, bamboo sticks, and other ingredients, as well as local government units (LGUs), trisikad drivers, and a host of other enterprises. (JGRS)
