Davao Football Associaton (DFA) secretary general Erwin Protacio, in an e-mailed statement Friday, said the two-day event will feature boys and girls football and girls volleyball.
"The participants are from 10 to 12 years old kids from Zonta Elementary School, Manuel Roxas Elementary School, LT Villafuerte Elementary School in Calinan, SOS Children's Village and host Catalunan Grande Elementary School," he said.
The bootfest will be a 5-A-Side tournament.
Davao City Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta, Dr. Ute Hubner (Poverty Reduction & Conflict Transformation - Mindanao Project director), Ms. Linda Schaefer (PFF's women's committe chair), Gerry Romero-Salas (Davao FA president) and Mr. Rogelio Hubahib (prinicpal of Catalunan Grande ES) are expected to grace the opening rites set at 10 a.m. (MLSA)
