Guinoo bags open title

DAVAO City rider Kenneth Guinoo clocked five minutes and 20.05 seconds to capture the open elite title at the close of Panaghiusa 2006 Mountabike Open race at the Sights and Thrills, Sitio Mag, Peñaplata in Island Garden City of Samal Saturday.

He bested Roger Mayao and Hilario Ladra in the massed start race that covered 10 laps. There were four kilometers per lap. Mayao and Ladra registered identical time of 5:20.25.

In the 40 years old and above category, Carlope Salonga finished first over Romulo Muania and Condrad Mercado.

The one-day race was organized by Traffic Management Group-Force Multiflier and Col. Judy Dao-ay in coordination with Samahang Siklista Kooperatiba ng Dabaw (SSikad) with chairman Salvador Paholio Jr.

The race was held as part of the Panaghiusa sportsfest with videoke and bikini open contests as side events.
