City Hall issues 9,525 biz permits in 4 days
THE Business Bureau has released over 9,525 business permits in a span of four days.
From January 2 to 5, the bureau has collected P6,226,116.61 from permit fees -- for renewal or new application.

The permit fees amount to P944,856.58, but miscellaneous fees such as garbage fees amounting to P599,868.15 and business taxes amounting to P2,668,067,80 make up a big bulk of the total collection.
Also adding up to the total are: interest rates -- P38,262.58; surcharge -- P63,454.92; tax prior -- P233, 195,45; business plates -- P8, 395.50; franchise -- P10,606.57; and vans -- P85,625.
On the other hand, the City Treasurer's Office is expecting P500 million worth of business taxes for 2007, P200 million of which will be collected from Davao City's 34,000 local businessmen.
The renewal and application of business permits will go on until January 20. (GLP)
