Wednesday, January 17, 2007 Palos Verdes to hold 1st club medal in '07
THE world-class Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club will stage its first Club Medal tournament for the year on January 20-21 at its all-weather course in Barangay Mandug, Indangan.
The two-day tournament is open to all Palos members, guests and jungolfers. The event is an 18-hole individual stroke play with December 2006 handicap indices.
Player classifications for members will vary from Class A (0-9 handicap), B (10-16 handicap), C (17-22 handicap), D (23-27 handicap), Seniors, Ladies and Jungolf.
For the Jungolf competition, the event is open for kid's ages 11 years and below and the 12-17 years old and Guest Division 1 (0-13 handicap) and Guest Division 2 (14-27 handicap).
Registration fee is pegged at P500 for members and dependents, P850 for member's guest, P1,500 for guest alone and P300 for jungolf.
Tee-off time is from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on January 20 and from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. only on January 21. For jungolfers, tee-off time is from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on January 20.
The awarding ceremony will be on January 21 at 4:30 p.m. at the club's Golfer's Lounge. Physical presence is required to claim any raffle or door prizes.
