Thursday, January 25, 2007 Davao hopes to improve in Prisaa
THE Davao Region Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) will try to improve its second over-all finish in the National Prisaa Finals come April 15 to 21 in Iloilo City.
Davao Region Prisaa athletic manager Joaquin "Boy" Sarabia recently said: "We have been landing at the second place for the past two years of the national meet. We hope we can finally win the over-all championship this year."
He said the Davao Region was beaten by just three golds in Lingayen last year and lost by seven golds in Zamboanga in 2005.
"It's always been a very close competition. We just hope we can pull things through for the number one spot in Iloilo," Sarabia said.
He added funds are in place for the training of Iloilo-bound athletes who will have yet to win their events in the Davao City Prisaa Meet opening on February 16 and in the regional meet on March 8 to 10. (MLSA)
