THE Inter-Church Basketball League or ICBL fires off today in City City.
Two Davao City teams, the Beatitudes Christian Fellowship and River of God, are playing in the tournament dubbed "Davao Meets Cebu" and which ends on Feb. 4.
Beatitudes is managed by Eddie Sandoval and Pastor Alex Villanueva, and mentored by Eric Diamse and Pol Legaspi.
The team will be backed up by University of Mindanao stalwarts Billy Masbate and Alvin Calatayud.
River of God, managed by Pastor Blair Cuares, will have some players from the Gaisano South Cup College Division 2 Champion Holy Child School Of Davao.
The Cebu teams playing in the tournament are the Al Solis- mentored Aces-Living Word Basketball Team represented by some players from Cebu Tribu Sugbu playing in the National Basketball Conference, Blessed Hope Christian Fellowship which will be backed up by some players from the Kwarta Padala Lhuillier Team from the MVBA league, and The Sonship of Jesus Christ of Pastor Apollos C Quiboloy.
